H ost Karlie Kloss is back,  along wi th Christian  Siriano as the  mentor  and returni ng judges Nina Garcia,  Brando n Maxwell, an d Elaine Welt eroth, to d ecide who has what it t akes to m ake it in this industry. Eac h 90-minute epi sode will feature the  return o f some fan-f avorite  elements,  including the “ Siriano Save, ” i n which Chris tian has th e opportuni ty to bri ng one  eliminat ed desig ner back into the com petition, a nd the p ièce de rési stance, a chance  to present  a final  collect ion at New Yor k Fashi on Week. In  the premiere of Project Runway,  the compet ition beg ins with some  twists right ou t of th e airpor t gate. Wi th luggage stil l in tow , the des igners are greeted at th e iconic TWA H otel at  JFK air port ready to take f light with their first ch allenge : to create  an innova tive loo k inspire d by hu manity’s c ontinued p ush into sp ace explor ation. In  a Runway firs t, these un familiar  designers have to pair u p and collab orate to make  cohesive pi eces that b low away the  judges or they  are out. Fans will also get a chance t o own a piece  of the  designer c reations  when they vote  on the outfi ts they  like best. To  celebrat e Univer sal Pictur es'  new film Ca ts (in theater s Dec. 2 0), designers  will compete  to create a chi c stree t look t hat puts a new spin on the timel ess tre nd of ani mal prints.
